Art Attack - Hubbard Woods Design District

As fall begins and leaves begin to fall from the trees, the Hubbard Woods Design District is happy to announce this year’s annual “Art Attack” event! On Friday, October 7th, 20 businesses and art studios will be featuring exceptional local artists, some of whom are from the North Shore Art League. The event will run from 5-8 PM, and is free of charge. In addition to the artists present, participating businesses will also be featuring food and drinks, and live music will be playing throughout the district. 

The district is experiencing a renaissance, with a number of new businesses, including restaurants, designers, and retail, recently moving into the area. Of particular intrigue are businesses that have moved from downtown Chicago to join the bustling Hubbard Woods scene.

Says Cynthia Burr, owner of Vivid Art Gallery on the corner of Tower and Green Bay Roads, at the southern entrance to the district, “We’ve seen remarkable growth over the last three years in the district. Even with the pandemic, while we had a few businesses close, new businesses have replaced them almost immediately. It’s a really exciting time to be in Hubbard Woods.”    

The participating businesses will be spread out throughout the district, so be sure to stroll around and stop by all of them as shown on this map.
