Enjoy reading a humorous, yet thought-provoking story about animal rights activism and join an engaging group discussion of “Carnal Knowledge” by the timely and popular writer, T. C. Boyle. Connie Garner, former English and Humanities professor and WE Board member, will present the author and context and lead the discussion which will be followed by a simple ‘no meat’ salad luncheon. Ideally participants will have read the story in advance (available on the internet or from the library), but many insights can be gained just by attending. Limited copies of the story will be available at the workshop.
