Stemming from a desire to host a book club for our youth, we soon recognized we could do so much more.

"Book Club with a Cause" is currently open to all parents and their adolescent children, ages 14-18. WYO recognizes the many benefits in parent-child book clubs. For instance, when discussing books, parents and their children learn from each other’s perspectives, gain deeper insight into their respective interests and beliefs, and begin to understand and the appreciate their similarities and differences. Book Club with a Cause is bound to spark thoughtful discussion while at the same time offering parents the opportunity to engage with their adolescent child in a new and exciting way.

We will be introducing the book "A North Shore Story" by Dean Economos, to be discussed at November's meeting. His book is available on Amazon & we will bring copies to be purchased. Proceeds will go directly to youth programming. Mr. Economos will join us for the book discussion and answer any questions the reader may have!!
