Book Discussion "A 1,000 Mile Walk on the Beach"

Thurs. May 3, 7pm: Join Go Green Wilmette and Great Lakes expert and author Loreen Niewenhuis for a discussion of her book, A 1,000 Mile Walk on the Beach, which chronicles her journey walking around Lake Michigan. Loreen will share photos and video from her journey and will illuminate the geology, natural history, and biology of the lake with a focus on what threatens this massive ecosystem: invasive species, pollution, and destruction of wetlands. Wilmette Public Library Auditorium; free and open to the public.
