Detective Ian Levy has been with the Winnetka Police Department since 1999. Detective Levy has been assigned to the Investigations Unit for the past 5 years. The Investigations Unit of the Winnetka Police Department investigates various financial related crimes such as Identity Theft, credit card fraud, bank fraud, telephone scams, and computer related crimes. In July of 2020, Detective Levy completed a specialized training course and earned a certificate as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Detective Levy is also a member of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) which investigates residential and commercial burglaries.
