Northbrook Symphony Family Concert

The NSO launches its season on Sunday, October 16th with a Family Concert introducing a program titled “Mozart’s Magnificent Voyage” featuring Classical Kids Live!, providing a family-oriented, unforgettable experience.

Mozart’s young son, Karl, longs to be taken from his boarding school to spend more time with his famous father. His wish is fulfilled when Wolfgang Amadeus takes him to a performance of The Magic Flute. This true father-son event gives Karl a chance to understand Mozart’s extraordinary life as a travelling prodigy.

Karl and his father relive young Wolfgang’s meeting of the Queen of England and the Pope in Rome. Discover the great master’s passion for composing as they embark on a magic journey into the world of The Magic Flute.  Children ages 6-17 receive complimentary season tickets.
