Practical Guide To Pelvic Health with Katharine Coombes

Pelvic floor curious? Yogis have long used breathwork to connect to the power of the mula bandha root lock a.k.a. pelvic floor. This 2-part workshop will cover pelvic floor anatomy and function, consider diastasis rectus abdominus, and other common but treatable conditions such as stress and urge urinary incontinence as well as habits that promote pelvic health. An all-level yoga class will incorporate asana and pranayama that allow yogis to embody the educational presentation.

Brief Bio:

Katharine Coombes is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and her private practice focus is women’s pelvic health and orthopedics. A yogi for more than 20 years, she completed her yoga teacher training in 2011. Teaching and practicing yoga inspired Katharine to change careers and complete her clinical doctorate at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine in 2018.
