Hands-On Technology Lunch Series: Making Sense of an Ever Changing World
Introducing an eight-part, hands on technology series led by two independent and experienced educational trainers representing both the Apple and Microsoft platforms. Everyday users who are faced with softwares from different platforms in a mixed technology world should attend the nine- part program as a series, or can pick-and-choose which topics are most applicable to their lives. A light lunch will be included.
Do you have prefer Coke or Pepsi? How about vanilla or chocolate ice cream? Most of us have preferences, and our choice of word processing program is no different. Typically we have made a huge investment in learning the program, and we are reluctant to make the switch to another program. We are not going to try to sway you one way or the other. Rather, we are going to make an objective comparsion between Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, and Google Docs and discuss their capabilities.
You probably won’t leave this session planning to change your tool-of- choice. Rather you will know that there are other options that you can use when your preferred tool doesn’t do what you need it to. You may also learn about capabilities that your preferred tool has of which you weren’t aware.
