Trip to the Dearborn Observatory
On Friday, June 12th, the WYO will be traveling to the Dearborn Observatory on the Northwestern campus in Evanston. We will be meeting at the YO before heading over to the Northwestern campus. The Dearborn Observatory is an astronomy tower that is home to a 18.5" refracting telescope. We will be given a tour of the observatory and taught how to use the telescope. The tour will be led by a Ph.D student from the astrophysics school at Northwestern. Students are encouraged to ask questions and come with a curious and open mind!
