Wreck Your Heart: An Evening with Lori Rader-Day at The Book Stall

The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) is excited to welcome our friend, Lori Rader-Day to the store on Tuesday, January 6 at 6:00 pm for a discussion featuring her new book, Wreck Your Heart. From the award-winning author, comes an engaging crime novel, about a country and midwestern singer out to catch her big break before family—or murder—wrecks everything. Mystery author Ann Cleeves says, "A love letter to country music and to Chicago, but very much more than that. Nobody does strong women better than Rader-Day." Lori will be in conversation with mystery author, Susie Calkins.

Lori Rader-Day is an Edgar Award-nominated and Agatha, Anthony, and Mary Higgins Clark award-winning author. Lori lives in Chicago, where she co-chairs the crime fiction readers’ event Midwest Mystery Conference and teaches creative writing at Northwestern University.

Our conversation partner Susanna Calkins writes historical mysteries. Her first series, the award-winning Lucy Campion Mysteries, is set in 17th century London. Her second series, the award-nominated Speakeasy Mysteries, is set in a Prohibition-Era Chicago speakeasy. She holds a PhD in history and works at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
