Art has always been an essential part of my life. I’ve worked with watercolor for many years, regularly incorporating watercolor techniques and color studies into my professional projects. I’m also decidedly old school when it comes to creating space plans by hand — I believe hand-drawn studies convey the flow and movement through a space far more authentically than CAD drawings. Working by hand also allows me to explore color concepts more intuitively through paint and sketching.

In addition to design, I enjoy writing blogs about various aspects of interiors, often from a tangential and humorous perspective. Music has also been a lifelong passion: I performed for many years as an oboist and now play cello in a local adult orchestra. The arts, in all their forms, influence every aspect of both my personal and professional life.
