As a Licensed School Psychologist who has been working in the field of Education and Mental Health for the past 20 years, I understand the various learning issues that can impact students' academic, cognitive and social progress. My specialty is working with school-aged students who are experiencing academic challenges and are in need of learning support. I am passionate about teaching students effective learning strategies so they can maximize their full potential. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Education, I attended Loyola University of Chicago where I completed my Doctorate in School Psychology. It has been a privilege of mine to work with several different schools and districts in Chicago and the northern suburbs as a School Psychologist and Educational Consultant. I have conducted numerous comprehensive educational evaluations to better understand my students' learning strengths and areas of concern. Prior to starting my private practice, I began my professional career working in the schools as a School Psychologist and Intervention Specialist. Assisting teachers with adapting curriculum for students with special needs, as well as, administering various assessment protocols were among some of my responsibilities. During this period, I was recruited to work for the Hawaii Department of Education as an Educational Consultant for over twelve schools.
